SLIPKNOT
2024:
Our 2024 robot, Slipknot, competed in CRESCENDO
presented by Haas. It used fly wheels to pick up and shoot
notes across the playing field into the speaker and amp.
SCORING
Slipknot uses a fixed, dual flywheel shooter that can be used in a variety of speeds to
score in both the speaker and the amp.
DRIVETRAIN
The drivetrain includes a combination of L3 swerve drive modules powered by Kraken motors
with built in Talon FX motor controllers to quickly navigate the arena.
OPERATING INTERFACE
The operating interface consisted of 2 Xbox controls one of them being the primary driver
that controls the bots movement, intake, and shooter. The second controller had control over
some sub systems and overrides.
ELECTRICAL
The electrical systems consist of general electrical components including a PDH, roboRIO,
mini PDH, and 13 motors, most of them Kraken x60’s. For sensors there are two lime lights, a
navX, as well as beam break sensors for note detection.
